Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 sticks (10 Tbsp.) margarine
2 c. brown sugar (don't pack)
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

In saucepan, melt margarine; add brown sugar and cook just to first bubble, then take off heat and cool.
Add eggs and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture with nuts.
Bake in a 9-inch square pan at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool and cut into squares.
