Orange Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 orange
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. flour
1 c. raisins
2 eggs

Preparation

Grind raisins and orange rind.
Take the juice of the orange and 1/2 cup brown sugar and mix.
Pour on top of cake when done. Bake in a medium-size loaf pan.
Serve with whipped cream.
