Ingredients

1/2 c. whole mustard seed (brown is best, but may use half yellow)
5 Tbsp. dry mustard
1/2 c. hot water
2/3 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. cold water
3 large slices onion
2 Tbsp. dark brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. salt
3 or 4 cloves garlic, pressed or chopped
1/2 tsp. dill seed
1/3 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. dried tarragon, crumbled
3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
Preparation

Soak seed and dry mustard in hot water and half the vinegar at least 3 hours or overnight.
