Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
1 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (10 oz.) jar apricot preserves
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix together with a fork, except apricot preserves.
Put 3/4 of batter in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Spread preserves over this and then the rest of the batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes. Cut into squares.
