Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. yeast
    2 c. lukewarm water
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    6 1/2 to 7 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. liquid shortening
Preparation
    Soften yeast.
    Add sugar, salt and half the flour.
    Beat thoroughly and add eggs and shortening.
    Work in remaining flour until smooth.
    Place in bowl; cover with damp cloth and waxed paper.
    Place in refrigerator.
    Punch down occasionally.
    Shape in rolls 2 hours before baking.
    Let rise until doubled.
    Bake at 400\u00b0.
    (Makes 4 dozen.)
