Cheese Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. Gruyere cheese, cut in finger size sticks
    freshly ground black pepper
    1 1/2 c. dry white wine
    enough oil for deep frying
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 egg white, beaten stiff
Preparation
    Place cheese in bowl and sprinkle with pepper.
    Add 1/2 cup of white wine and set aside to marinate for 1 hour.
