Fresh Peach Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    3 eggs
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. cloves
    1/8 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. buttermilk
    2 tsp. soda
    2 c. fresh mashed peaches
    1/3 c. fresh peach juice
Preparation
    Peel and mash peaches.
    Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time and beat well.
    Sift flour, spices and salt.
    Add soda to buttermilk and add alternately with sifted ingredients to first mixture.
    Fold in fresh peaches and juice.
    Bake in 9-inch layer pans that are greased and floured. Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool layers and ice.
