Vegetable Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon, diced
    1 onion, diced
    2 c. hot water
    1 turnip, diced
    1 potato, diced
    1 green pepper, diced
    2 stalks celery (with leaves), diced
    2 carrots, diced
    dash of pepper
    2 Tbsp. minced parsley
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
Preparation
    Saute onion and bacon until soft.
    Add water, vegetables (except tomatoes) and seasonings.
    Bring to boil; cover and reduce heat to simmer.
    Cook 7 to 10 minutes until vegetables are tender. Add tomatoes and heat.
    Serve hot.
    Serves 6.
