Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 or 14 oz. chocolate covered or regular caramels
    5 oz. can evaporated milk
    1 German chocolate cake mix
    1 1/2 sticks melted butter or margarine
    6 oz. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Grease and flour 13 x 9 pan.
    Melt caramels with 1/3 milk, stirring occasionally.
    Melt butter and add cake mix and 1/3 c. milk.
    Stir until moist.
    Spread 1/2 of dough on bottom of pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees.
    Take out; sprinkle with chocolate chips and drizzle caramel over top.
    Crumble rest of cake mix over top.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until you shake the pan and it does not move too much.
    Cool, cut into bars and refrigerate.
