Cinnamon-Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. molasses
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Place raisins in 1/2 cup boiling water; cool.
    Drain raisins; reserve water.
    Cream the shortening, sugar and molasses.
    Sift flour, salt, soda, baking powder and cinnamon together.
    Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with reserved raisin water, mixing well.
    Fold in raisins and nuts. Spoon batter into 6 greased and floured soup cans.
    Bake for 30 minutes or until bread tests done.
