Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. corn syrup (white)
2/3 c. water
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cook sugar, syrup, water and salt.
Do not stir after sugar is dissolved.
Cook until boiling syrup when dropped from spoon in cold water becomes very hard almost brittle ball.
Pour slowly into beaten egg whites and beat until it holds its shape when dropped from a spoon.
Add nuts just before dropping from spoon. Can also be poured into greased rectangular pan and cut into squares after it sets.
