Shrimp Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1 clove garlic
    1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 (1 lb.) can whole tomatoes
    2 to 3 c. rice
    1 c. diced green pepper
    2 to 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 lb. cooked ham in 1/2-inch cubes
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 (dash) hot pepper sauce
    1/4 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Cook celery, green pepper and onion in\thalf
    the butter or margarine, until tender but not brown; add\tgarlic\tand ham; cook about
    5 minutes longer.
    Add
    remaining butter,
    shrimp, salt, hot
    pepper
    sauce,
    chili powder and
    sugar
    and
    cook, tossing often with fork until shrimp are
    pink.
    Add
    tomatoes and heat. Stir in rice and serve immediately.
    Enjoy!
    Bake on medium-low heat for approximately 45 minutes.\tServes 4 to 6.
