Aunt Maggie'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1 c. Crisco
    1 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. cocoa (make paste with small amount water)
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. self-rising flour
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla flavor
Preparation
    Cream 1 stick of the butter, Crisco and 1 cup sugar.
    Add cocoa paste.
    Sift flour and soda together; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Add eggs and vanilla last; beat well.
    Bake in 3 (9-inch) layers at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
