Hot Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 red potatoes, boiled
    1/4 lb. bacon
    1/2 c. chopped pimento
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped (optional)
    salt and pepper to taste
    4 Tbsp. reserved bacon fat
    4 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    1 tsp. basil
Preparation
    Boil
    potatoes just until tender.
    Cool, peel, chop and set aside.
    Fry
    bacon until crisp; drain and reserve 4 tablespoons of the
    fat.
    Crumble
    the
    bacon
    and
    mix it with the potatoes, pimento,
    onion,
    celery, eggs, salt and pepper in a 2-quart casserole.
