Mountaineer Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 heads cabbage, shredded
    1 bunch celery, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 carrot, chopped
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Combine sugar, vinegar and water and boil 3 minutes.
    Cool. Add salt to shredded cabbage and let stand for 1 hour.
    Add rest of ingredients to cabbage and pour cooled liquid mixture over the slaw.
    Refrigerate.
    Lasts 3 weeks in refrigerator.
