"Tea" Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. shortening, softened
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening well.
    Add sugar and cream well. Add eggs and cream well again.
    Sift all dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture by 1/4 cup intervals until all flour is used.
    Add vanilla.
