Fudge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. sugar
2 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. butter
1 c. nuts, coconut or raisins (optional)
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1/3 c. Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cook sugar and evaporated milk in a heavy saucepan until mixture boils.
Turn heat low and continue cooking for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and immediately add chocolate chips, Karo syrup, butter and vanilla. Stir well until chocolate has melted and fudge is smooth and creamy. Add nuts and mix until blended.
Immediately pour into buttered 8-inch pan. Surface will set rapidly so spread quickly. Chill 1 to 2 hours or until firm.
