Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cooking oil
3 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 c. cooked prunes
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 lb. butter
1/2 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Stir together until dissolved over medium heat; cook until soft ball.
Pour over hot cake left in pan to cool.
