Marshmallow Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    1/3 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 egg whites, beaten stiff
Preparation
    Place sugar and water in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Pour sugar mixture into bowl with egg whites.
    While still warm, add cream of tartar and vanilla.
    Beat until icing is cool.
    Frosts 2 (9-inch) layers.
