Snickerdoodles(Soft) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    red and green cherries (candied)
Preparation
    Cream butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar together.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Chill dough.
    Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
    Roll each ball in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
    Decorate with bits of candied cherries.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for about 8 minutes.
