Strul - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. half and half
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 scant tsp. baking powder
cardamom or vanilla flavoring if a little is desired
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar well.
Add milk and flour alternately, last portion of milk last.
If it is too stiff, thin with cream.
Drop by teaspoon on hot iron.
When baked, place roller on top of rack and roll up in rolls.
