Swedish Tea Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 dry yeast
    1/4 c. water
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    7 to 7 1/2 c. Gold Medal flour
    1/2 c. melted shortening (part butter)
    3 Tbsp. milk
    1 c. sifted powdered sugar
Preparation
    Mix all dry ingredients, including yeast, but use only 1/3 of the flour.
    Mix all wet ingredients, including shortening, and heat to hot-warm.
    Combine and mix with mixer for two minutes. Add eggs and more flour to thicken.
    Mix a couple of minutes. Add rest of flour.
