Curried Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 c.)
    1 small clove garlic, minced
    2 tsp. olive oil
    3/4 tsp. curry powder
    1 1/2 lb. tomatoes, halved, cooked and seeded
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth
    1/2 tsp. dried herbs, crushed
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 to 1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In a saucepan, cook onion and garlic in hot oil until tender. Add curry powder; cook and stir for 1 minute more.
    Add tomatoes, broth, fines herbes, salt and pepper.
    Bring to boiling.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Cool slightly.
    In a food processor or blender container, cover and process cooled mixture, half at a time, until smooth.
    If desired, press through a sieve.
    Serve hot or chilled.
    If desired, top with yogurt, fresh thyme and quartered cherry tomatoes.
    Makes 6 dishes.
