Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cold shortening
1 1/2 c. mashed sweet potatoes
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Cut in shortening.
Set aside.
Combine milk and sweet potatoes.
Add to flour mixture and stir quickly.
Knead lightly using as little flour on board as possible.
Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut with floured cutter.
Place on a greased baking sheet and bake in a preheated 475\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 25 biscuits.
