Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef, browned (optional for meatless sauce, meatballs may be substituted)
    2 onions, fried in butter
    1 large can tomatoes (28 oz.)
    1 large can tomato sauce (15 oz.)
    1 bay leaf
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    2 cloves
    2 tsp. oregano
    2 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce (may be added later, optional)
Preparation
    Brown meat; remove from skillet.
    Lightly saute onions in butter in the same skillet; add remaining ingredients.
    Cook on low.
    Simmer for 2 to 3 hours.
    Return meat to skillet and continue simmering until hot.
    Serve on spaghetti noodles.
