Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. dried red beans
    2 large onions, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 meaty ham bone or 1 1/2 lb. ham chunks
    Tabasco sauce to taste
Preparation
    Wash dried beans.
    Remove any foreign matter.
    Place in 4 to 6-quart saucepan.
    Add 4 quarts water, ham, onion, garlic and seasoning.
    Simmer slowly about 3 hours, until beans are soft and gravy is thick.
    Serve over cooked rice with Tabasco sauce.
