Cherry Salad Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. cherry or black cherry jello
    2 tsp. sugar
    dash of salt
    1 c. boiling water
    1 (1 lb. 1 oz.) can pitted dark sweet cherries
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. whipped cream
    1 c. marshmallows
Preparation
    Dissolve jello, sugar and salt in boiling water.
    Drain cherries, reserving 3/4 cup of syrup.
    Add syrup and lemon juice to gelatin.
    Chill until thick.
    Fold half of cherries into 1 cup of jello.
    Pour into 1-quart mold.
    Chill until firm.
