Blueberry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, separated
    1 c. milk
    1 c. blueberries
Preparation
    Sift in a bowl the flour and sugar.
    Cut in shortening.
    Take out 3/4 cup of mixture and set aside.
    Add baking powder, salt, egg yolks and milk.
    Beat until well blended.
    In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.
    Fold into batter.
    Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan.
    Scatter blueberries on top of batter.
    Sprinkle
    the set aside dry mixture over the top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
