Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. strong coffee
    1/4 c. dark rum
    5 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
    1 c. butter
    2 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Place coffee and rum in a pan; bring to a simmer.
    Add chocolate and butter.
    Cook, stirring occasionally, until all are melted.
    Remove from heat.
    In a large bowl, beat the eggs. Gradually beat in sugar until mixture is thick.
    Beat in vanilla and chocolate mixture.
    In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
    Beat into chocolate mixture.
    Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 275\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Transfer to rack to cool overnight.
