Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    hot pepper to taste
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    8 oz. grated American cheese
    1 c. corn meal
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/3 c. oil
    1 or 2 cans creamed corn
Preparation
    Brown beef and onion in skillet.
    Drain.
    Sift meal, salt and soda.
    Combine beaten eggs, milk, oil and corn; mix well.
    Pour half of this in pan, then put meat over this, then put grated cheese and cover with other half of mixture and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
