Potato-Bacon Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bacon, cut up
    1 c. onion, chopped
    4 c. potatoes, cooked and cubed
    1 c. water
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 c. sour cream (can omit if desired)
    1 3/4 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp.
    Remove bacon and saute onion in drippings.
    Remove onion and drain on paper towel.
    Cube potatoes and cook in the 1 cup of water.
    Add soup, onion, bacon, sour cream and milk, plus seasonings, saving some bacon to crumble on top.
    Simmer, but do not boil.
    Serves 6.
