Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger
    1/3 c. uncooked rice
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 onion, sliced fine
    1 egg
    1 can tomato soup
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. chopped parsley
    1/2 c. chopped celery
Preparation
    Season hamburger well with salt and pepper and add well beaten egg.
    Mix well and combine with rice.
    Melt shortening; add onion and cook several minutes.
    Combine tomato soup with equal amount of water and add to onion.
    Add parsley, celery, lemon juice, sugar, salt and pepper and cook 10 minutes.
    Wash cabbage leaves and boil until tender.
    Put 2 tablespoons meat mixture in each leaf and roll tightly.
    Secure with a toothpick.
    Place in saucepan (or crock-pot) and pour sauce over rolls.
    Cover pan tightly and cook slowly 3 hours.
    Serve very hot.
