Buttermilk Yeast Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 c. warm buttermilk
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve the yeast in warm water.
    Add the warm buttermilk, egg and the shortening.
    In a medium bowl, sift all the dry ingredients (except the flour) together.
    Add the yeast mixture, then add enough flour to make the dough easy to handle.
    Knead until smooth.
