Watergate Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple, drained (do not use juice)
    1 large size (6 oz.) cherry or strawberry jello
    1 lb. cottage cheese
    1 large Cool Whip
    nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Sprinkle dry jello over crushed pineapple; stir well.
    Add cottage cheese, Cool Whip and nuts (if desired).
    Mix well and chill.
    Ready to serve.
