Dough(Empanadita) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white cornmeal
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. lukewarm water
    salad oil
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Slowly add water, stirring until well blended and doughy.
    Divide into 12 patties; flatten thinly between 2 sheets of waxed paper.
    Place 2 teaspoonfuls meat mixture on each patty.
    Fold diagonally and seal. Brown in hot oil, turning once. Serve hot.
    Yields 6 servings.
