Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/3 c. chopped onions
    1 Tbsp. lard
    2 c. stewed tomatoes or 1 (1 lb.) can
    3/4 c. precooked rice
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    salt and pepper
    1 c. shredded sharp cheese
Preparation
    Cook peppers 5 minutes in salt water and drain; set aside. Brown meat and onions in lard.
    Add tomatoes, rice, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
    Cover and simmer until rice is almost tender (5 minutes).
    Add cheese.
    Stuff peppers and stand upright in 10 x 6-inch baking dish.
    Bake, uncovered, in 350\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes or until hot.
    Sprinkle with more cheese.
