Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. water
    7 lb. cucumbers
    1 pt. lime
    4 1/2 pt. sugar
    4 pt. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Wash and clean cucumbers.
    Slice and pour solution of lime and water over cucumbers.
    Let stand 24 hours.
    Drain and wash with clear water.
    Let cucumbers soak 3 hours in clear water.
    Drain. Boil vinegar, sugar and spices.
    Pour over cucumbers.
    Let set overnight.
    Next morning, boil cucumbers 35 minutes and pack in hot jars and seal.
