Mexican Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1 lb. hamburger meat
    2 Tbsp. bacon fat
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. garlic powder
    1/2 Tbsp. hot pepper
    1 medium green sweet pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. tomato sauce
    1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Cook rice until light brown.
    Fry hamburger in fat in separate skillet.
    Add onion, garlic, hot and sweet pepper, salt, tomatoes and chili powder.
    Allow mixture to cook about 3 minutes.
    Blend in browned rice.
    Simmer slowly in skillet on top of range until done.
