Piccalilli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. green tomatoes
    1 head cabbage
    3 sweet peppers
    2 large onions
    1/2 c. salt
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. horseradish
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Chop and mix vegetables with salt; let stand overnight. Drain.
    Mix sugar, seasoning and vinegar; boil 1 minute.
    Add vegetables; heat to boiling.
    Pack into hot jars and seal at once.
