Taco Salad(Serves 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped green bell pepper
    1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
    1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, drained and cut up
    6 c. torn lettuce
    2 large tomatoes, coarsely chopped
    1 large avocado, peeled and chopped
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    In large skillet, brown ground beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat; drain.
    Stir in taco seasoning, refried beans and canned tomatoes; simmer for 15 minutes.
    In large bowl, combine lettuce, tomatoes and avocado; toss.
    Place lettuce mixture on individual serving plates.
    Top with meat mixture; sprinkle with cheese.
    Garnish with a dollop of sour cream and a tablespoon of sliced green onions, if desired.
    Serve with corn chips.
