Chocolate Lassies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg, unbeaten
    1/2 c. molasses
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
    Beat in egg and molasses.
    Mix and sift flour, baking soda and spices; add.
    Mix well.
    Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
