Gator Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. smoked bacon, cut in pieces
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. green peppers, chopped
    1 large white onion, chopped
    1/4 c. flour
    4 cans stewed tomatoes
    juice of 1/2 lemon
    dash of Tabasco sauce
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Fry bacon crisp; add celery, green peppers and onions.
    Cook until tender. Add flour and brown. Add enough water to make adequate gravy. Pour in tomatoes and season to taste.
    Simmer 30 minutes. Great over grits at a fish fry.
