Baked Cavatelli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. wagon wheel macaroni
    12 oz. Italian sausage
    3/4 c. chopped green onion
    2 cloves garlic
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (14 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce (with mushrooms)
    1 c. shredded Mozzarella
    1 tsp. Italian seasoning
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Prepare pasta according to package directions.
    In a large skillet, cook sausage, drain fat and reserve 1 tablespoon.
    Cook onion and garlic in the 1 tablespoon fat until tender.
    In a 2-quart casserole, combine pasta, sausage, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, 1/2 of the cheese, Italian seasoning and pepper. Stir to combine. Bake, covered, at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake 5 minutes more.
