China-Town Moon Cake(In Honor Broodmare, "Doc'S Ivy") - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
2 tsp. instant tea
grated rind of 1 lemon
1 (3 oz.) can chow mein noodles
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 Tbsp. packed dark brown sugar
1/2 c. apricot preserves
1 (6 1/2 oz.) pkg. fluffy white frosting mix or 1 (16 oz.) can frosting
yellow food coloring

Preparation

Prepare cake mix by package directions, adding tea and rind of lemon to the batter.
Bake in greased and floured 9-inch layer cake pans; remove from pans and cool on rack.
