Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (8 oz.) cans pineapple tidbits, drained (save juice)
    2 c. chopped salted Spanish peanuts, roasted with skins
    3 c. diced apples with skins
    4 c. mini marshmallows
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg
    1 1/2 Tbsp. white vinegar
    8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed
Preparation
    In large bowl, mix pineapple with marshmallows.
    Cover and set aside.
    In saucepan, mix juice, sugar, flour, egg and vinegar; cook until thickened, stirring with a wire whisk.
    Cool completely.
    Combine with Cool Whip.
    Fold into pineapple-marshmallows.
    Add nuts and apples.
