Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 1 inch shredded lettuce
    1/2 inch shredded carrots
    1/4 inch sliced green onions
    1/2 inch layer frozen peas
    1 single layer pickled beets
    1/2 inch shredded lettuce
    1/2 inch layer mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Place the layers of salad in a straight sided salad bowl in the order in which they are listed.
    On the top layer of lettuce, spread the mayonnaise 1/2-inch thick on top of the vegetables, sealing the vegetables.
    Sprinkle with the sugar and cover with plastic wrap.
    It must be sealed against air.
    Refrigerate overnight.
