Funnel Cakes(Makes 6 Large Cakes) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    3/4 c. milk
    vegetable oil for frying
    confectioners sugar for dusting
    sweetened whipped cream, fruit topping or cinnamon sugar (optional)
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Gradually add the egg and milk and stir until well blended. Let the mixture stand for 15 minutes.
