Pecan Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. light corn syrup
    1/4 c. water
    1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    To cook by microwave:
    In a medium glass bowl, combine sugars, corn syrup and water.
    Cook on High 7 to 9 minutes, or until mixture reads 238\u00b0 (soft ball stage) when tested with candy thermometer.
    (Important:
    Do not use conventional candy thermometer in dish while operating by microwave or combination.) Stir in pecans, butter and vanilla.
    Let stand 2 minutes.
    Drop by tablespoonfuls onto well-greased cookie sheet; chill until set.
