Sunshine Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    dash of turmeric
    1 qt. water
    1 pt. vinegar
    1/2 c. salt (scant)
    clove garlic
    sprigs dill
Preparation
    Wash pickles and quarter.
    Pack
    firmly
    in jars with 2 clove garlic and 2 sprigs
    dill
    in
    each
    jar.
    Heat
    rest of ingredients;
    pour over pickles
    and put lid and ring on.
    Set in sun for 3 weeks.
    A double batch makes 6 1/2 quarts.
