Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    14 oz. pkg. caramels
    6 oz. chopped pecans
    1/4 lb. margarine
    7 oz. Eagle Brand condensed sweetened milk
    6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix cake according to directions on box.
    Bake 1/2 the mix in greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan at 350\u00b0
    for 15 minutes.
    In top of double boiler, melt together, butter, caramels and condensed milk.
    Remove from heat and cool slightly.
    Pour over baked 1/2 of cake.
    Pour remaining 1/2 of cake batter on top. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.
    Bake additional 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
